This year, Evening About Town is being held on Thursday, August 1st! We are looking forward to seeing you all there.

Here are some useful facts to start us off!

Location: Blue Hills Orchard located at 141 Blue Hills Road just over the town line in Wallingford.

We are so excited about this location which is an active orchard, owned and tended by 6 generations of the same family since 1904.

A few important items to note:

Weather: While the weather gods have smiled on us and no rain is predicted for tomorrow, it will be a very warm day. We will be outdoors with some shady areas, but mostly open. Please dress for comfort.

Terrain: The orchard has some sloping and uneven areas, it is grassy and you will need to walk to navigate the site. Please wear comfortable and appropriate footwear to the event. If you have mobility concerns please contact us directly.

Parking: Please park at the Blue Hills Orchard Farm Store lot. When that lot fills up, supplemental parking will be up the road by Mansion Road. Follow the signs and look for the farm 'shuttle' to deliver you to the registration and cocktail area. Please make every effort to carpool to make the most effective use of the parking areas.

Since our first Evening in White, the location of the event is kept strictly secret until right before the event.

Food and Wine:

Unlike previous years, dinner will be provided at no additional cost. Light, casual fare will be by Food Extrovert catering.

We will be offering a wine pull again this year, you can purchase a surprise bottle to drink during dinner or take home at the end of the night. You are more than welcome to BYOB as well.

Dress Code:

You may wear white, but you don't need to! But please dress festively and comfortably. We will be at an outdoor location and the ground is uneven in areas. Please wear sensible shoes.

Live Auction:

Evening About Town is a night we raise considerable funds to support Ball & Socket Arts’ general funds and programs for the fiscal year. We will hold both a live auction and a paddle raise during the evening.

We are pleased to announce that our live musical act this year will be Norman and the Rockwellians, a band of old pros who play toe-tapping standards we all know and love.

Welcome Drink

Continuing in our tradition of a welcome cocktail , we’ve invited Cocktails with Cal to prepare a location perfect custom drink. You will be the first to enjoy The Artist’s Nectar!
