Clara Nartey is a Ghana-born artist based in the U.S. After earning a masters degree in business, Nartey went on to develop a rigorous self-taught art practice. Her unique artistic style meshes mark-making using threads, with digital painting, machine embroidery, and quilting.

Nartey’s bold, colorful, and textured works have been exhibited widely including at Heather Gaudio Fine Art, Yellowstone Art Museum, Visions Museum of Textile Arts, and Morris Museum.

Her work is held in both private and institutional collections like that of Yale University and Dana Hall. She’s also been featured in publications such as Contemporary Art Issue, Art Forum, and Create Magazine!
