Evening in White August 22, 2019
Cheshire’s Evening in White was inspired by the original “Le Diner en Blanc” in Paris where a man, disappointed by not spending enough quality time with friends, invited guests to dress all in white and gather for a pop-up picnic in a beautiful open-air setting, revealed to them only at the last minute.
Over the years, the dinner grew as each guest would then invite a few of their friends to join them in celebration of the summer, community, nature and the arts.
Our inaugural Evening in White was held in August 2018, on an historic and beautiful farm in Cheshire where over 100 friends, both new and old were transported to a simpler time and an enchanted evening.
This year, Ball & Socket Arts will be inviting over 300 friends to join us on Thursday, August 22nd in this unique and inspiring evening. Net proceeds from the Evening in White will support our efforts to reclaim the faded beauty of the historic button factory and transform it into a hub to experience the arts and gathering place to meet and celebrate with friends.
